The old gate code is now retired. |
Gate InstructionsHomeowners should have received an envelope with barcoded tags for your cars. These tags will trigger the sensor by the gate. On the front of the envelope you will find your new gate code printed below your name. Please remember this code, as it will be the *ONLY* code you can use to access the neighborhood after hours. Tags should be installed on the inside of your windshield on the passenger side of the car, probably near the top of the windshield. You may want to do a test drive through the gate to make sure the tag is in a good location before you permanently attach it to your windshield. If it is working, the reader on the right side of the entrance will give you a green smiley face. Once attached, the tag cannot be removed without ruining it. If you are planning to get your windshield replaced or sell your car soon, you may want to use a more temporary method of attachment, like tape. If you are entering the neighborhood when the gate is closed, please approach slowly and wait for the green "smile" to appear. This will trigger the gate mechanism. Please be patient and do not try to force the gate open. The gate now has a battery backup and should continue to operate in the event of a power loss to the neighborhood. If you need to use your code, you should hit the # sign and then the number from your envelope. (NOTE: The pizza man or other temporary visitors should not be given this code; they should use the call box at the gate to call your phone and be let in on an individual basis.) If your guests choose your name from the call box directory, the box will call the number you have on file (phone numbers will not be on display at the gate), which can be either a cell phone or a home phone. When the gate calls, the gate number comes up as (843) 501-7470, some phones may automatically ID the call as "Parrot Creek." If your phone does not automatically ID the call, you may want to add the number to your contacts. The person waiting at the gate will be able to speak to you to tell you who they are. To open the gate from your phone, punch in the number 9.
